On 11th May, 2014, Ms. Benjamas Tanvetyanont, Deputy Consul-General, presided over the Light Waving Rite, organized by Wat Phra Dhammakaya Hong Kong, at the Tsim Sha Tsui District Kai Fong Welfare Association, on the occasion of the Visakha Bucha Day. The Deputy Consul-General took part in ceremonies, including Buddha bathing, worship of Buddha’s relics, merit making, incantation over 10 Buddha images to be enshrined in China, offering of robes and other needs to monk, and light waving. These ceremonies have rendered the Bugghists in Hong Kong an opportunity to rejoice in the merit made on an important religious day.
