On 24 May 2014, H.E. Mr. Somchai Charanasomboon, Ambassador of Thailand to Sweden, together with an official of the Royal Thai Embassy, attended a ceremony at Dalarnavanaram Temple in Borlänge, to celebrate Visakha Bucha and the 9th Anniversary of the establishment of Dalarnavanaram Temple.  H.E. Ambassador Somchai led the participants in merit-making activities and delivered his remarks by congratulating the Temple on its 9th Annniversary as well as praising the abbot of the Temple for receiving the First World  Buddhist Leader Outstanding Award 2014 from the World Fellowship of Buddhist Youth.  In his remarks, H.E. Ambassador Somchai commended the abbot who founded Dalarnavanaram Temple and the Thai community for promoting Buddhism in Sweden.

On this occasion, H.E. Ambassador Somchai also participated in the ceremony of offering robes to Buddhist monks and donated some money, on behalf of the Royal Thai Embassy, to the abbot of the Temple.
