During 6-8 June 2014 the Royal Thai Embassy in Copenhagen, together with the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) , participated in the Asian Days event in Vilnius, Lithuania, which was organised by the City of Vilnius to promote Asian culture and cuisine. The Royal Thai Embassy took this opportunity to introduce a variety of Thai fruits to the Lithuanian people and also provided Thai traditional massage service. Furthermore, there were Muaythai demonstrations by local Muaythai boxers and a range of cultural shows and activities by professional dancers and cultural demonstrators which TAT had flown from Thailand. These activities drew a lot of interest  from the Lithuanians and foreign tourists and children enjoyed learning how to  weave fish made from palm leaf. The Mayor of Vilnius also dropped by for a chance to  taste Thai fruits and was very much impressed. The Royal Thai Embassy is currently coordinating with the City of Vilnius to pave the way for Thailand to export Thai fruits to the Lithuanian market.
