On 14 June 2014, H.E. Mr. Somchai Charanasomboon, Ambassador of Thailand to Sweden, together with other ASEAN Heads of Missions in Stockholm namely Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia and Vietnam, held the 3rd ASEAN Food and Handicraft Day 2014 at the Royal Thai Embassy, Stockholm. 

     H.E. Mr. Tran Van Hinh, Ambassador of Vietnam to Sweden, as Chairman of the ASEAN Heads of Missions in Stockholm, delivered the opening remarks, followed by the singing of “the ASEAN Way” song. Then, they led dignitaries to visit the handicraft and food stalls of each of the 5 ASEAN member countries present in Stockholm.

     The ASEAN Food and Handicraft Day 2014 is an activity co-organized by  ASEAN embassies in Stockholm. Apart from authentic and delicious food and beautiful handicrafts from 5 ASEAN member countries, there were also ASEAN cultural performances and lucky draws, keeping the participants entertained. It was the third consecutive year that this event was held and received an overwhelming response.  Over 500 people joined the event, both Swedish and ASEAN communities in Sweden as well as high-ranking officials from the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Sweden and other embassies in Stockholm who came along to enjoy a number of activities of the event.
