H.E. Mr. Somchai Charanasomboon, Ambassador of Thailand to Sweden and staff members of the Royal Thai Embassy went to Vännäs, a town in the northern part of Sweden (517 kilometers from Stockholm) on 5 - 6 July 2014 to provide a mobile consular service.  There were a large number of Thais coming for the services and they expressed their wishes that another mobile consular service be provided in the area next year.   

      On 5 July 2014, H.E. Ambassador Somchai and his wife, Viyada, attended the annual event and the ceremony of offering robes to Buddhist monks at Buddharama Temple in Fredrika.  H.E. Ambassador Somchai also donated some money, on behalf of the Royal Thai Embassy, to the abbot of the Temple.
