On the 10 August 2014, H.E. Mr. Maris Sangiamponsa, Ambassador of Thailand to Australia, Embassy staff, and Team Thailand at Canberra and Sydney, participated in the 5th Her Majesty the Queen’s Birthday Golf Competition, 2014, held by Thai Golf Association of New South Wales, at Gungahlin Lake Golf Course, Canberra.

           After the competition, the Ambassador and Mr. Charan Prompunyathorn, President of Thai New South Wales Golf Association, awarded winners of various types of competitions at the Royal Thai Embassy. The Embassy received charity funds from the competition. Afterwards, the participants attended Her Majesty the Queen’s 82nd Birthday Celebration Ceremony and dinner at Sala Thai, The Royal Thai Embassy.

            The charitable golf competition was attended by 66 Thai, Australian and foreign golfers from ACT, NSW, VIC, QLD, and WA. The competition will be hosted alternately by Thai Golf Association of NSW, VIC and QLD annually while the next competition in 2015 will be hosted by Thai Golf Association of Victoria.
