On 3 – 6 September 2014, H.E. Ms. Vimon Kidchob, Ambassador of Thailand to Denmark and Team Thailand in Brussels,comprised of the representatives from Royal Thai Embassy in Brussels, Office of Agricultural Affairs, Office of Commercial Affairs, Office of Customs Counsellor, Office of Science and Technology to the European Union, led by Mrs. Chulamanee Chartsuwan, Minister, the Royal Thai Embassy in Brussels, visited Aarhus, SjællandsOdde and Humlebæk to study organic farming development in Denmark. The visit was arranged and coordinated by Office of Agricultural Affairs in Brussels.

 

          The delegation attended the 4th edition of the European Food Venture Forum in Aarhus, where more than 29 companies and investorsfrom food technology sectors in Europe participated and exchanged knowledge and information. The delegation visited Agro Food Park, an international centre for private sector and organizations who are interested to use the location to develop innovation and distribution of knowledge within the agriculture and food sector.

 

          The delegation also paid a visit to Foulum Research Center, a center for agricultural knowledge, innovation, and research in Denmark.Later on, the delegation visited two organic farms: Birkemosegaard in SjællandsOdde and Årstiderne in Humlebækto learn more about production, marketing management and sale management.

 

           The information and ideas exchanged during the visit will be useful for the development of organic farming in Thailand.
