On 17 February 2015, H.E. Mr. Tomwit Jarnson, Ambassador of Thailand to Pakistan and current Chairman of ASEAN Islamabad Committee, welcomed Mr. Zafar Mehmood, Executive Committee Member of Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Both sides discussed the activities to be jointly organized between the Chamber and ASEAN Missions in Islamabad to enhance the relations between ASEAN and Pakistan, particularly in the economic area, including the proposed establishment of ASEAN-Pakistan Business Forum and ASEAN Day Conference in August 2015 in Lahore to raise awareness of ASEAN in Pakistan.
