The Residence of the Thai Ambassador to the UAE turned into a temporary religious site as the Thai community in Abu Dhabi organized an activity to observe the Makha Bucha Day in the evening of Wednesday 4 March 2015.
Two senior monks from the Ras Al Khaimah Meditation centre and Bahrain were invited by the Thai community to lead prayers, preach Buddha’s lessons and biography to 50 Thais and their foreign relatives, before leading everyone on a curcular walk around Buddha statue, which is tradition for a holy Buddhist day.
The Ambassador’s Residence helped prepare the venue as well as refreshment for the participants. In addition, H.E. Warawudh Chuwiruch, his wife, staffs of the Royal Thai Embassy were present throughout the evening.
