On 27 March 2015, the Royal Thai Embassy to the State of Qatar, in cooperation with Thai Community in Qatar, had organized the Songkran Festival 2015 at the Embassy’s premises. This year, the Embassy had invited Phrakhrupalatsamphiphatthanamethachan from Wat Rajabopit Sathitmahasimaram Rajaworavihara, Bangkok, to give the blessing and deliver the Dharma lecture to the Thai people living in Qatar during his Qatar visit for the Buddhism - Islam Interfaith Project organized by the Embassy. The Festival was filled with warmth and enjoyment in typical Thai style celebration. There were various activities including live cultural performances by students of Thai Language and Culture School in Doha, off-season robes offering for Buddhist monk, sprinkling of water onto a Buddha image, Buddhist monk and seniors. Over 250 Thai people and some foreigners living in Qatar had participated in the Festival.
