Thai Kitchen to the World by Thai Iron Chef in Argentina

By invitation of the Royal Thai Embassy in Buenos Aires, Chef Chumpol Jangprai, Iron Chef for Thai Cuisine, travelled to Argentina to instruct the “Thai Cooking Class” at the Thai Ambassador’s residence and Mausi Sebess Cooking School, with an aim to promote Thai cuisine as well as Thai ingredients and food products. The activities are a part of the project “Thai Kitchen to the World” and received good feedback from local participants.
On 11 June 2015, the Royal Thai Embassy organized a “Thai Cooking Class” at Ambassador Jesada Chavarnbhark’s residence well participated by approximately 20 people of leading local media members. Chef Chumpol Jangprai, invited instructor, demonstrated Thai dishes namely spicy beef salad, Massaman curry with lamb, and stir-fried chicken with cashew nut. The media was also provided with an opportunity to cook Thai dishes supervised by Chef Chumpol.
Later, on 12 June 2015, the Royal Thai Embassy, together with Mausi Sebess Cooking School, the most well-known culinary institute in Argentina and Latin America, organized “Master Class of Thai Cooking”. During the class, Chef Chumpol taught about arts of Thai cooking and demonstrated the menu spicy beef salad, squid in lime sauce, Massaman curry with lamb, and Thai mung bean custard to approximately 80 participants including current students and alumni of Mausi Sebess, owners of restaurant, and local media.
Both activities were well responded by participants as it was a good opportunity to learn Thai cuisine, arts of Thai cooking, as well as how to select Thai ingredients and seasoning products. During the classes, all the participants had an opportunity to taste the demonstrated Thai menus which received very good feedbacks from participants as they could enjoy various tastes of the dish.
The cooking class is one of the activities under the project “Thai kitchen to the world” which aims to promote Thailand through authentic Thai food, as well as to make known of Thai food products and ingredients throughout the world market.
