On 9 July 2015, H.E. Mr. Manasvi Srisodapol, Ambassdor of the Kingdom of Thailand to Poland, attended the Asia and Pacific Day at Sejm co-organized by the Sejm, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Polish Institute for International Affairs of the Republic of Poland to discuss Poland’s strategy towards Asia.

 

            The event was opened by Mrs. MalgorzataKidawa-Blonska, Marshal of the Sejm, and Mr. GrzegorzSchetyna, Foreign Minister. Mr. Robert Kapland, American writer and political analyst, was invited as a keynote speaker. Many other distinguished speakers, including Mrs. KatarzynaKacperczyk, Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, members of the Sejm and Senate, former minister and ambassadors, also participated in the panel discussions focused on opportunities and challenges in Asia and how Poland should engage with the region.

 

            At the event, the Royal Thai Embassy in Warsaw together with other diplomatic missions from Asia-Pacific region participated in the Asia and Pacific cultural promotion, during which it showcased Thailand’s culture, tourism, Meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions (MICE) industry and cuisine through a VDO presentation, promotional materials, and Thai food tasting to the members of Parliament, scholars, and experts attending the meeting.
