On 1 December 2015, The Royal Thai Embassy in Mexico City hosted a reception to celebrate the auspicious occasion of the 88th birthday anniversary of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej of Thailand. The reception was held at Presidente Intercontinental hotel and was attended by over 300 guests including Ambassadors and members of the diplomatic corps, the Thai community in Mexico, and representatives from the Mexican Secretariat of Foreign Affairs, educational institutions, the press, and the private sector.

 

            In his remarks, H.E. Surasak Chuasukonthip, Ambassador of Thailand to Mexico, highlighted important developments in Thailand-Mexico relations in recent years, the 40th anniversary of Thailand-Mexico diplomatic relations in 2015, and the inauguration of the ASEAN Economic Community in 2015.
