On 11 December 2015, the Royal Thai Embassy, Kuala Lumpur, organized a bicycle event, "Bike for Dad 2015," in honour of H.M. King Bhumibol Adulyadej on the occasion of His Majesty's 88th Birthday Anniversary. During the event, H.E. Mr. Damrong Kraikruan, Ambassador of Thailand to Malaysia, led over 240 representatives of the Thai community and Malaysian friends of Thailand in Kuala Lumpur and nearby states riding bicycles around the lake in Taman Metropolitan Kepong, with the total distance of around 4.2 km.
