On 29 January 2016, H.E. Ms. Ana Maria Ramirez, Ambassador of the Argentine Republic to Thailand, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Don Pramudwinai, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, upon the completion of her duty.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs took note with satisfaction of the bilateral relations between Thailand and Argentina, which has been strengthened over the past 60 years. He also reiterated Thailand’s readiness to further expand cooperation in all fields such as politics, trade, investment, culture, sciences, and technology. The Foreign Minister then wished the Argentine Ambassador success upon the return to assume her duty in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Worship of the Argentine Republic. H.E. Ms. Ana Maria Ramirez expressed her appreciation for the support and cooperation that Thailand rendered to the Embassy of the Argentine Republic during the past four and a half years of her tenure in Thailand.             

During the meeting, both sides also discussed the on-going bilateral and multilateral cooperation, especially under the framework of G77 where Thailand serves as G77 Chair in New York and Argentina as G77 Chair in Nairobi in 2016.
