Mr. Danai  Menabodhi, Charge d’Affaires of the Royal Thai Embassy in Riyadh paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Rachid Derbas, Minister of Social Affairs of Lebanon, in Beirut on 19 January 2016, to deliver a message from the Thai Government to donate 100,000 US dollars to the Lebanese Government for a humanitarian support to Syrian refugees effected from the unrest situation in Syria. 

 

            Minister Derbas thanked for Thailand’s donation in which its willingness and hospitality are more significant than the aid’s figure. However, the proposed Thai assistance shall be processed through the Lebanese Cabinet for an approval within February.   

 

            Thailand’s continuous policy to support suffering countries from wars in the region plays an important role of its humanitarian aid as part of Thailand’s commitment to the international community.
