On 2 March 2016 H.E. Mr. Vutti Vuttisant, Ambassador of Thailand to Nepal, and Phra Tepbodhivides Chief of Thai Buddhist Missionary to India-Nepal, Chief Abbot of the Royal Thai Monastery, Buddhagaya, Chief Abbot of the Royal Thai Monastery, Lumbini, presented financial aid of 512,765.95 NPRs (approximately equivalent to 170,000 Baht) to Mr. Siddhartha Ranjit, Chairman of Youth Eye Service (YES). This financial aid is a joint collaboration between the Royal Embassy and the Royal Thai Monastery, Lumbini, which will be used for free cataract surgery and eye check up by YES to improve the quality of life of vulnerable and deprived people all over Nepal from cataract and other eye-related problems. The donation was also witnessed by the Embassy’s officials, representatives from Thai Airways International Co., Ltd., as well as representatives from YES.
