On Saturday 5 March 2016, Mr. Bancha Yuenyongchongcharoen, Minister Counsellor, on behalf of the Thai Ambassador to Spain, presided over the Muaythai Qualifying Competition in Spain organized by Spanish Association of Muaythai, which was registered under International Federation of Muaythai Amateur (IFMA). The Competition was aimed to select the best Spanish Muaythai boxers to participate in IFMA World Championship 2016 in Sweden. The Embassy attaches high importance to the promotion of Muaythai in Spain. Today, Muaythai has been recognized as martial art and sport throughout Spain.
