On 27 May 2016, Mr. Maher Shakhatreh, President of the Thai - Jordanian Friendship Association, and the Jordanian business delegation paid a courtesy call on Minister of Foreign Affairs. Both sides discussed ways and means to enhance the bilateral relations between Thailand and Jordan in all areas, especially economic cooperation. Jordan has Free Trade Agreement with the US, EU, all Arab countries, and Singapore, which could benefit Thailand in enhancing its economic cooperation with Jordan and other countries in the region.
