On 17 October 2016 at 15.52 hours., H.E. Thanatip Upatising, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Philippines, presided over a ceremony at the Royal Thai Embassy in remembrance of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej of the Kingdom of Thailand who passed away on 13 October 2016. The ceremony was attended by more than 100 participants. On this occasion, the Ambassador led a 9 minute silence in respect and remembrance of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej and the signing of the Book of Condolence.

             The Royal Thai Embassy opened the Book of Condolence to Thai people, representatives of the Philippine Government, Diplomatic and Consular Corps, and International Organisations from 14 October 2016 onwards.
