On 4th December 2016, the Royal Thai Embassy in Kathmandu organized a Buddhist merit-making ceremony, devoted to 50th day of the passing of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej at the Ambassador’s residence. Mr. Ek-att Thitaram, Charge d’Affaires, presided over the ceremony which was conducted by Phra Sribodhivedes, Royal Thai Monastery, Lumbini, as well as 9 Thai and Nepali monks. Both Thai residents and other nationals attended the ceremony and took part in Buddhist chanting, meditation and the singing of Thai royal anthem in honour of the late King.
