On 1 December 2016, the Royal Thai Embassy held a Buddhist ceremony on the 50th day of the passing of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej. The ceremony commenced with the singing of the Royal Anthem, followed by offerings to and blessings by the four Thai Buddhist monks for His Majesty the late King.

         Following the ceremony, the Thai Ambassador exchanged views with the participating Thai citizens on issues of their concerns, particularly those regarding their well-being in Russia. At the end of the ceremony, the Thai Ambassador, together with the Heads of Team Thailand Offices, hosted lunch for all the 126 participants.
