             H.E. Mr. Don Pramudwinai, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, will attend the 7th Meeting of the Thailand – Bangladesh Joint Commission (JC) during 5 – 7 July 2017 in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

          The JC meeting will comprise (1) the Ministerial Meeting co-chaired by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand and H.E. Mr.Abul Hassan Mahmood Ali, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh and (2) the Senior Officials Meeting co – chaired by Mr. Krerkpan Roekchamnong, Director-General of the Department of South Asian, Middle East and African Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, and Mr. Mahbub Uz Zaman, Secretary (Asia Pacific), Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh.

          The JC Meeting is a forum for both sides to follow up on and enhance their cooperation in a wide range of fields, including trade and investment, politics and security, tourism, agriculture and technical cooperation. Moreover, during the visit, the Minister of Foreign Affairs will pay a courtesy call on the Prime Minister of Bangladesh and hold a bilateral discussion with the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh. The Bangladeshi Government has also arranged a programme of visits to important sites in Dhaka, including the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Museum, which will highlight the cultural and religious bonds between Thailand and Bangladesh.
