          The Right Honourable Winston Peters, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of New Zealand, will pay an official visit to Thailandas guest of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand during 1 – 3 October 2018 at the invitation of H.E. Mr. Don Pramudwinai, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand.
          During his visit, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of New Zealand is scheduled to pay a courtesy call on H.E. General Prayut    Chan-o-cha, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand, and H.E. Mr. Somkid Jatusripitak, Deputy Prime Minister of Thailand, at the Government House, as well as have a bilateral meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand. 
          The visit will contribute to strengthening Thai - New Zealand bilateral relations and provide an opportunity for both sides to exchange views on how to further enhance cooperation in areas of mutual interests, especially trade and investment, education, human resource development, and cooperation in multilateral framework. 
          The Right Honourable Winston Peters has served as the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of New Zealand since October 2017. This visit will be the first visit to Thailand by a New Zealand Foreign Minister since 2012.
