On 23 October 2021, H.E. Ms. Karntimon Ruksakiati, Ambassador of Thailand to Norway, attended activities arranged by Pravimolsasanavides, the Abbot of Wat Thai Norway, to pay tribute to King Chulalongkorn on his Memorial Day.  Ambassador Karntimon presided over a wreath laying ceremony at His Majesty King Chulalongkorn’s monument and joined the ribbon cutting ceremony to open the exhibition of the 5 Ancient Siam Buddha sculptures from the Museum of Cultural History and ‘Journey of Mr. Carl Bock to Siam’.  The ceremony was attended by Mr. Jørgen Vik, Mayor of Lillestrøm, Dr. B. Bala Bhaskar, Ambassador of India to Norway, Mr. Håkon Glørstad, Director of the Museum of Cultural History, Mr. Egil Lothe, President of Buddhist Federation of Norway.  The Museum of Cultural History kindly brought 5 ancient Siam Buddha sculptures and old books of Mr. Carl Bock, which was published in many languages to display at the said exhibition.  

On this occasion, Ambassador Karntimon also attended the foundation stone laying ceremony of the Sala Thai or Thailand-Norway Friendship Pavilion, to be constructed at Wat Thai Norway. Later on Ambassador Karntimon, the Thai community together with Norwegian guests and their families joined in to offer food for the monks to mark the end of the rain retreats or Buddhist Lent in Thailand.
