Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs enhanced bilateral cooperation with Hungary, focusing on water management, trade and investment, agriculture, education, and exchange of support in International Organisations, as well as exchanging views on international issues, during the courtesy call of the Ambassador of Hungary to Thailand.

On 15 February 2021 at 13.00 hours, H.E. Mr. Szilvester Bus, Ambassador of Hungary to Thailand, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Thani Thongphakdi, Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs.

Both sides focused on ways to move forward the Thai-Hungarian bilateral relations, particularly promoting Hungarian investment in water management in Thailand, using the synergy in the Thai-Hungarian economy to boost bilateral trade, especially agricultural products, promoting Hungarian scholarship for graduate studies, and cooperation in international organisations.

The Ambassador of Hungary to Thailand also reiterated that Hungary remained as always a good friend of Thailand in the European Union and in other international fora, and that Hungary was ready to strengthen cooperation with Thailand in the framework of mutual respect.
