During 29 October - 1 November 2025, Mr. Sihasak Phuangketkeow, Minister of Foreign Affairs, is scheduled to attend the 36th APEC Ministerial Meeting (AMM) and related meetings during the APEC Economic Leaders’ Week 2025, in Gyeongju, Republic of Korea, at the invitation of H.E. Mr. Lee Jae-myung, the President of the Republic of Korea.

This year’s APEC Ministerial Meeting will be convened under the theme “Beyond a Sustainable Tomorrow”, focusing on three key pillars — Connect. Innovate. Prosper. — which emphasizes integrated connectivity, innovation-driven growth, and shared sustainable prosperity.

During the same period, the Minister of Foreign Affairs will accompany H.E. Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, Prime Minister, to the 32nd APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting, the APEC CEO Summit, as well as bilateral meetings aimed at strengthening cooperation between Thailand and APEC member economies, as well as with other key partners, as well as to promote Thailand’s proactive and constructive role at this important multilateral framework.

Thailand’s participation in the APEC Ministerial Meeting presents an important opportunity to reaffirm confidence among regional partners and demonstrate Thailand’s proactive role in building a sustainable, inclusive, and predictable region. Thailand will also promote cooperation in emerging areas of mutual interest and new challenges, while continuing to advance the outcomes of Thailand’s APEC Host Year 2022, particularly the implementation of the Bangkok Goals on the BCG Economy — APEC’s first dedicated framework on sustainable development initiated by Thailand.
