On 22 August 2025, Mr. Bolbongse Vangphaen, Director-General of the Department of ASEAN Affairs, on behalf of the Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs, attended the 17th Coordinating Conference for the ASEAN Political-Security Community (ASCCO), in Jakarta, Indonesia.

The meeting was chaired by the Deputy Secretary-General for the ASEAN Political-Security Community (APSC) and attended by representatives from ASEAN Member States, Timor-Leste, Chairs of APSC Sectoral Bodies, as well as entities associated with the APSC.

The meeting discussed cooperation under the APSC and the End-Term Review of the APSC Blueprint 2025, where Thailand underlined the importance of strengthening ASEAN Centrality, enhancing cooperation in addressing non-traditional security challenges, and promoting cross-sectoral and cross-pillar coordination.
