The 3rd ASEAN-EU Dialogue on Sustainable Development, jointly organised by Thailand, in its capacity as the ASEAN Coordinator on Sustainable Development Cooperation, and the EU, reaffirms the shared commitment and strengthens the partnership between ASEAN and the EU on sustainability and sustainable development, including in the context of COVID-19 recovery.

The inaugural ASEAN-EU Dialogue on Sustainable Development was convened in November 2017 in Bangkok to establish a dialogue between ASEAN and the EU on sustainable development. The EU hosted the 2nd Dialogue in February 2020 in Brussels. The Dialogue has served as a platform for sharing of experiences and best practices and promoting concrete cooperation between the two regions on the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals.
