The 27th Thai Festival in Bern, held from 3–5 July 2026 at the Royal Thai Embassy in Bern, concluded on a highly positive note, drawing large numbers of visitors throughout the three-day event. Despite space limitations at this year’s venue, The Festival remained vibrant and lively and received an overwhelmingly positive response from Swiss visitors, international guests, and the Thai community in
Switzerland. The strong turnout reflects the Festival’s enduring popularity and its place as one of Bern’s much-anticipated annual events.
In addition to showcasing the rich diversity of Thai culture through Thai cuisine, Thai products, traditional Thai massage, and a wide range of cultural performances, one of this year’s major highlights was the promotion of greater awareness and appreciation of “Chud Thai Phra Rajaniyom” (Thai National Dress). This was presented through a variety of activities, including a fashion show featuring all
eight styles of Thai National Dress alongside contemporary Thai textile creations suitable for everyday wear; an informative exhibition on the history and distinctive characteristics of Thai dress; the sale of Thai textiles by OTOP entrepreneurs from Buriram Province; and an AI Photo Booth, which offered visitors an immersive virtual experience by generating personalised images of themselves wearing Thai National Dress.
The Royal Thai Embassy wishes to express its sincere appreciation to all visitors, as well as to all partners whose support contributed to the success of the Festival. These included Team Thailand agencies, namely the Thai Trade Center and the Tourism Authority of Thailand, Frankfurt Office; Thai Airways International Public Co., Ltd.; Boon Rawd Co., Ltd.; Thai Beverage Public Co., Ltd.; PT Bauer; Thailand
Reisen Reber; and the Thai Spa Association Switzerland.
The Embassy also extends its heartfelt thanks to the Thai community in Switzerland, including both those who attended the Festival and the entrepreneurs who participated as vendors. Each played an important role as a “Cultural Ambassador”, helping to share the richness of Thai culture with the wider public while demonstrating the strength, unity, and solidarity of the Thai community in Switzerland.
Their collective contribution was instrumental in making the 27th Thai Festival in Bern a memorable and resounding success.
