On 13 September 2021, Mrs. Chulamanee Chartsuwan, Director-General of the Department of European Affairs, witnessed the arrival of medicinal products consisting of 2,000 doses of Casirivimab/Imdevimab from the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany to the Royal Thai Government at Suvarnabhumi Airport. The medicines were transported to Thailand by TG flight 921. H.E. Mr. Georg Schmidt, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to the Kingdom of Thailand, and Dr. Sophon Iamsirithavorn, Deputy Director-General of the Disease Control Department of the Ministry of Public Health, were present as representatives of their respective governments.

The donation is a testament of the close cooperation between the Royal Thai Embassy in Berlin, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, the Ministry of Public Health of Thailand and the German Federal Ministry of Health. It represents not only the provision of humanitarian aid in times of crisis but also symbolic of the long-standing friendship and strong diplomatic relations between Thailand and Germany.
