Director-General of European Affairs Department meets with Ambassador of Norway to Thailand and representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Norway

On 21 October 2025, Mrs. Krongkanit Rakcharoen, Director-General of the Department of European Affairs, had a meeting with H.E. Mrs. Astrid Emilie Helle, Ambassador of Norway to Thailand, and Mr. Trond Gabrielsen, Director for East Asia and Oceania Section, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Norway, on the occasion of the latter’s working visit to Thailand and Southeast Asia.

Both sides noted the close and dynamic bilateral relations, which achieved the milestone of 120 years this year, as well as engaged in fruitful discussions on ways to enhance cooperation, particularly in the areas of healthcare, maritime medicine, and green transition. They also discussed the process of ratification and implementation of the Thailand - EFTA FTA, especially on capacity building in aquaculture, and collaborations within ASEAN and multilateral frameworks such as OECD, UNHRC, and WTO. They also exchanges views on regional and global issues, including situations in Ukraine, Thailand - Cambodia, and Myanmar.
