On 10 September 2025, Ms. Sasirit Tankulrat, Director-General of the Department of South Asian, Middle East and African Affairs, had a discussion with H.E. Mrs. Constance Chemwayi, Ambassador of the Republic of Zimbabwe to Thailand with residence in Kuala Lumpur, along with Mr. Eleshkumar Patel, Special Presidential Investment Advisor, at the Ministry.

Both sides discussed the promotion of trade and investment between the two countries, particularly in the automotive, agricultural, and food processing industries, which the Government of Zimbabwe wishes to invite Thai investors to invest in Zimbabwe. Mr. Patel also had a meeting with executives of the Thai Chamber of Commerce and visited a Thai automotive parts factory, with a view to strengthen relations between the Thai and Zimbabwean private sectors through cooperation between the Thai Chamber of Commerce and the Zimbabwe National Chamber of Commerce (ZNCC).
