On 20 June 2025, Mrs. Krongkanit Rakcharoen, Director-General of the Department of European Affairs, held discussions with H.E. Mrs. Anna Hammargren, Ambassador of Sweden to Thailand. They sought ways to elevate Thailand–Sweden relations, including the process of jointly developing the Third Thailand–Sweden Joint Plan of Action for 2025–2029 as a key framework to guide future cooperation. They also discussed the promotion of high-level visits from Thailand to Sweden.
