On 1 April 2026, the Royal Thai Embassy convened a meeting with 18 representatives from 10 Thai restaurants in Qatar. The discussion focused on the regional security situation, Qatar’s economic outlook, and the critical importance of food security in the current situation.

Participants shared invaluable insights into the impact of recent developments on the restaurant sector and exchanged strategic recommendations to strengthen the resilience of Thai food supply chains, enhance consumer confidence, and elevate the promotion of Thai cuisine in Qatar.

The Embassy expressed its profound appreciation to all Thai restaurants for their unwavering support in showcasing Thai food and culture. The Embassy also reaffirmed its commitment to further deepening collaboration with all stakeholders, with a view to reinforcing the role of Thai cuisine as a vital contributor to food security in Qatar. These concerted efforts will contribute to strengthening people-to-people ties, expanding trade opportunities, and further enhancing the close and longstanding relations between Thailand and Qatar.
