On 12 February 2024, H.E. Mr. Parnpree Bahiddha-Nukara, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, had a bilateral discussion with The Honorable Gina Raimondo, U.S. Secretary of Commerce, in Washington, D.C. during the official visit to the U.S. H.E. Mr. Sihasak Phuangketkeow, Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs, was also in attendance.

During the discussion, both sides exchanged information and views to find ways to expand cooperation in trade and investment, especially Thailand-U.S. supply chain partnership in various industries, including clean energy and digital economy. The topics also included investment in semi-conductor and Thailand’s Landbridge project, of which the Deputy Prime Minister took the opportunity to invite more American investors to invest in Thailand.

In addition, both sides also discussed further enhancing cooperation under the Indo-Pacific Economic Framework (IPEF), in which Thailand has been actively participating.
