On 30 April 2026, H.E. Mr. Sihasak Phuangketkeow, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, delivered a keynote lecture titled “Diplomacy in Action” to the 18th class of the Top Executive Program in Commerce and Trade (TEPCoT) at the University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce. The Deputy Prime Minister outlined the key priorities that guide Thailand’s foreign policy in an increasingly unstable and fragmented global landscape. These encompass strengthening Thailand’s role and leverage on the international stage; maintaining a balance between addressing immediate challenges and pursuing long-term strategic goals; and advancing diplomacy that delivers tangible benefits to the Thai people, with particular emphasis on economic diplomacy. He reaffirmed the importance of conducting diplomacy grounded in domestic inter-agency synergy, alongside proactive engagement with the public.
The Deputy Prime Minister also exchanged views with the participants and engaged in a Q&A session on a broad range of topics, such as Thailand’s position amidst major power competition, Thailand’s perspectives on ASEAN, the Thailand - Cambodia border situation and a way forward, and strategies for attracting foreign investment.
