On 3 November 2026, H.E. Mr. Sihasak Phunagketkeow, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand had a telephone conversation with H.E. Mr. Tin Maung Swe, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Myanmar. The Deputy Prime Minister conveyed concerns about the fighting in Myanmar that had spillover impacts on the Thai side of the border, and requested Myanmar to avoid operations close to the border that could affect Thailand. The Foreign Minister of Myanmar acknowledged and would convey the concerns of Thailand to relevant authorities.
