Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs receives farewell call by Ambassador of Viet Nam to Thailand

On 7 March 2024, H.E. Mr. Parnpree Bahiddha-Nukara, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, welcomed H.E. Mr. Phan Chi Thanh, Ambassador of Viet Nam to Thailand, during the latter’s farewell call.

Both sides expressed appreciation for the progress of Thailand-Viet Nam relations in all aspects as well as the regular exchange of high level visits between the two countries.

They looked forward to the upcoming visit to Thailand of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Viet Nam and the 5th Thailand-Viet Nam Joint Commission for Bilateral Cooperation (JCBC) Meeting in April. They also discussed preparation for the official visit to Viet Nam of the Prime Minister of Thailand and the 4th Joint Cabinet Retreat in Viet Nam, particularly the elevation of bilateral relations to Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, this year.

The Deputy Prime Minister emphasised that Thailand will work closely with Viet Nam and other neighboring countries to advance closer regional tourism cooperation in the near future.
