On 19 February 2024, H.E. Mr. Parnpree Bahiddha-Nukara, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, chaired the Committee on International Investment Protection Meeting 1/2024 The meeting approved the revision of criteria for investment protection under international investment agreements (IIAs) and reviewed Thailand IIA negotiation strategy in alignment with the government’s priorities on trade and investment policy as well as Thailand’s overall economic strategy.

International investment agreement is one of the important tools in driving “proactive economic diplomacy”, aiming to enhance investors’ confidence to attract foreign investment as well as to provide protection to Thai investors overseas.
