On 23 September 2026, Mrs. Sirilak Niyom, Deputy Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs, met with H.E. Mr. Jehad Fouad Mabrouk Alqedra, Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Thailand, with residence in Kuala Lumpur, on the occasion of the Ambassador’s visit to Thailand to present his credentials to His Majesty the King of Thailand on 21 September 2026.

Both sides discussed ways to further enhance cooperation in various areas, including political, education, public health, and development cooperation, particularly capacity-building efforts for Palestinian people.

Both sides also exchanged views on the situation in the Middle East. The Deputy Permanent Secretary expressed deep concern over the humanitarian situation in Gaza and the West Bank and reaffirmed Thailand’s support for the two-State solution. She also highlighted Thailand’s humanitarian assistance, noting that, from 2022 to 2026, Thailand provided financial assistance to the State of Palestine with a total of 630,000 US dollars through various international organizations.
