On 26 August 2025, Mr. Paisan Rupanichkij, Deputy Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs had a discussion with Ms. June Kunugi, Regional Director for East Asia and the Pacific of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF). Ms. Kyungsun Kim, UNICEF Thailand Country Representative was also present at the meeting.

Both sides exchanged views on the UNICEF’s restructuring plans at the global and regional levels, which the Thai side reaffirmed its readiness to support. The Deputy Permanent Secretary also expressed appreciation for the continued and close cooperation with the UNICEF in promoting and protecting children’s rights.
