On 27 August 2025, Mrs. Sirilak Niyom, Deputy Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs, had a discussion with H.E. Mrs. Orna Sagiv, Ambassador of the State of Israel to the Kingdom of Thailand, who paid a farewell call on the occasion of the completion of her tenure.

Both sides expressed satisfaction with the continued development of relations between Thailand and Israel in a wide range of areas, including through the regular exchange of high-level visits during the Ambassador’s tenure in Thailand. They also exchanged views on further enhancing cooperation in the fields of cybersecurity and landmine-clearance technology.

In addition, the Deputy Permanent Secretary provided an update on developments along the Thai - Cambodian border and outlined Thailand’s consistent efforts to address related issues through bilateral mechanisms. She also sought support for the repatriation of the remains of the two Thai hostages in Gaza to Thailand.
