Situation update on the recent earthquake in Myanmar for foreign nationals residing in Thailand (28 March 2025)

A 7.4-magnitude earthquake struck near Mandalay, Myanmar, at 1:20pm local time, with tremors felt in Bangkok and other areas of Thailand. The epicenter was approximately 320 kilometers from Pang Mapha District of Mae Hong Son Province.
The Thai Meteorological Department and the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation are closely monitoring the situation and warned of possible aftershocks. Authorities have confirmed some structural damage in affected areas. The Thai Meteorological Department will provide updates via Facebook Live as the situation unfolds.
