A 7.4-magnitude earthquake struck near Mandalay, Myanmar, at 1:20pm local time, with tremors felt in Bangkok and other areas of Thailand. The epicenter was approximately 320 kilometers from Pang Mapha District of Mae Hong Son Province.

The Thai Meteorological Department and the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation are closely monitoring the situation and warned of possible aftershocks.
