On 24 December 2025, H.E. Mr. Sihasak Phuangketkeow, Minister of Foreign Affairs, chaired a meeting via video conference to provide policy directions on proactive diplomacy and strategic communication in the context of the Thailand - Cambodia border situation. The meeting was attended by Ministry executives, as well as Thai Ambassadors and Consuls-General from 98 missions in 65 countries worldwide.

The Foreign Minister reiterated that all overseas missions should prioritize communicating factual information and clarifying Thailand’s position to the international community, underscoring Thailand’s commitment to safeguarding its sovereignty based on national interest and international law. The Ambassadors and Consuls-General reported on their respective actions and exchanged assessments of the positions of countries and international organizations, as well as views and recommendations, with a view to ensuring that the Ministry’s diplomatic efforts are conducted in an integrated and most effective manner.
