On 3 November 2025, H.E. Mr. Sihasak Phuangketkeow, Minister of Foreign Affairs, had a discussion with the Chargé d'Affaires of the European Union Delegation, as well as Heads and Representatives of Diplomatic Missions of the Member States of the European Union and Schengen Area accredited to Thailand (21 countries) at the Ministry.

Both sides discussed ways to enhance security cooperation, including cyber crimes and online scams, and regional issues such as Thailand - Cambodia border situation, humanitarian assistance to Myanmar and EU - ASEAN relations. The Foreign Minister emphasized the government's commitment to driving economic growth, with the Ministry playing a key role in creating economic opportunities for Thailand through proactive diplomacy, such as the Thailand - EU FTA negotiations and Thailand's accession to the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).

They also exchanged views on the current global situation, mutually emphasizing the importance of the multilateral system and the rules-based international order. In addition, the Foreign Minister shared key outcomes from his participation in the 47th ASEAN Leaders' Summit in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and the 32nd APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting in Gyeongju, Republic of Korea, including significant events during that period, particularly the signing of the Joint Declaration between the Prime Minister of Thailand and the Prime Minister of Cambodia on the outcomes of their meeting in Kuala Lumpur to reaffirm their commitment to implementing the ceasefire agreement, of which the diplomatic corps expressed their full support.

This meeting was an opportunity for both sides to review concrete achievements in their cooperation over the first year since the Thailand - EU Partnership and Cooperation Agreement (PCA) provisionally entered into force, as well as to express readiness to build upon the existing success and pursue new areas of mutually beneficial cooperation going forward.
