On 7 May 2025, H.E. Maris Sangiampongsa, Minister of Foreign Affairs, chaired the Meeting of the National ASEAN Committee 1/2025 at Vithes Samosorn.

The meeting was held to discuss and coordinate Thailand’s policies toward ASEAN, as well as to prepare for Prime Minister’s participation in the upcoming 46th ASEAN Summit to be held on 26-27 May 2025 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The Meeting underscored the strength of ASEAN, capabilities of Thailand, and the importance of a clear strategic policy in order to enhance Thailand’s leading role in ASEAN. All attended agencies expressed their readiness to continue working closely together to achieve this goal.
