Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs attends the Royal Thai Government’s handover ceremony of financial assistance and emergency relief supplies to Nepal

On 4 September 2026, H.E. Mr. Sihasak Phuangketkeow, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, attended the handover ceremony of financial assistance and emergency relief supplies offered by the Royal Thai Government to the Government of Nepal for those affected by severe flash floods and mudslides in Nepal. The ceremony was presided over by H.E. Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, with H.E. Mr. Dhan Bahadur Oli, Ambassador of Nepal to Thailand, receiving the assistance on behalf of his Government.

The assistance comprises 7 million baht in financial assistance, provided by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as essential relief supplies contributed by the Ministry of Public Health, Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation under the Ministry of Interior, and the Thai private sector. The assistance is intended to support ongoing relief operations, alleviate the hardship faced by affected communities, and contribute to post-disaster recovery efforts.

The provision of assistance reflects Thailand’s longstanding friendship and solidarity with Nepal and its people in times of hardship.
