Vaishali, Bihar - On 28 July 2025, Ms. Siriporn Tantipanpanyatep, Consul-General of Thailand in Kolkata, led 213 Indian teachers and students at Candasiri Buddha Vihar
School in Vaishali, Bihar, in a Buddhist chanting ceremony to honor His Majesty the King of Thailand on the auspicious occasion of His 73 rd Birthday. The teachers and students, standing united, paid their respect before the Royal portrait of His Majesty. Together, they recited the Royal blessing "Long Live the King of Thailand".

This heartfelt tribute brought people together in a shared celebration of His Majesty’s
remarkable legacy. In a spirit of creativity, the students expressed their reverence through beautiful, heartfelt artwork on blackboards. The contest was met with great enthusiasm, showcasing the students’ creativity, gratitude and respect. In the afternoon, a warm lunch was hosted by the Consulate-General for all the teachers and students, further fostering a sense of community and camaraderie.

Candasiri Buddha Vihar School, founded by Phra Khru Sittipariyathiwet (Chalong Jantashiri), the Abbot of Wat Thai Vaishali, serves as a beacon of hope and educational
opportunity for the underprivileged children of India’s remote Vaishali, Bihar.

This event not only celebrated His Majesty's legacy but also highlighted His global
impact, especially in supporting underprivileged children. Through this meaningful event, Thailand’s positive image was not only spread but was also strengthened as a sincere and genuine friend of India. More importantly, the bond of friendship between the people of Thailand and India was reaffirmed, growing ever stronger in the spirit of mutual respect and cooperation.
