On June 16 2025, H.E. Mrs. Lalivan Kanchanachari, Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs, attended the National Day of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg reception at Siam Kempinski Hotel Bangkok. The Vice Minister, on behalf of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, presented congratulatory flowers to H.E. Mr. Patrick Hemmer, Ambassador of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg to Thailand.

The Ambassador of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg to Thailand delivered opening remarks, highlighting cooperation between Thailand and Luxembourg in areas such as logistics, education and research, technology, and green finance. The Ambassador emphasized Luxembourg’s commitment to advancing digital and innovation cooperation with Thailand, particularly in the field of High-Performance Computing (HPC), which is exemplified by the ongoing collaboration between the University of Luxembourg and Thailand’s National Electronics and Computer Technology Center (NECTEC).

This year’s National Day celebration also marks the final of such occasion during the reign of Grand Duke Henri of Luxembourg, as His Royal Highness Crown Prince Guillaume will ascend the throne this October.
